During the past 12 months we've embraced many new artists including: Jackiem Joyner, Jessy J, Darren Rahn, Melody Gardot, Spencer Day, Drew Davidsen, Bernie Williams, Oli Silk, Avant and Cindy Bradley. We are now constantly shuffling the playlist to both keep it fresh as well as make moves based on research combined with PPM M-Score data.

 

"We have increased our news-feed service to include more Smooth Jazz- and music-related news stories daily.  The RSS news feed is available for your station websites at http://news.smoothjazznetwork.com."

We see the format reflecting stronger numbers (in Los Angeles for example) in 25-54, reflecting a younger audience than we saw prior to PPM.

Kepler concludes: "Other positive notes: a new Smooth Jazz station signed on in Maui a few weeks ago and a new affiliate signing on in Eugene, Oregon within the next month. Today I spoke with an operator whom we are in discussions to bring two new format outlets in medium markets. While we have all seen challenges in the larger markets, we remain very positive about the future of the format and will continue to find forward-thinking partners to invest in the coolest music format on radio."
