Internet station WAJM (Atlanta Jazz Moods) PD Armin Stamm raises a different concern: "Let's just hope that 'the Force' stays with listeners. Without them, we cannot survive as broadcasters. If the proposed performance royalty legislation passes, over-the-air stations would probably have to charge artists an advertising fee to broadcast their music. As things stand now, radio provides them with free exposure. The royalty tax would throw a new wrench into the existing engine that we all listen to now."
